The Drabblecast is a fantastic audio fiction podcast narrated and produced by Norm Sherman. His humor and production talents make the Drabblecast a real favorite of mine. A derivative of the main podcast is the The Drabblecast B-sides which contains a outstanding reading of Sonia Greene and H.P. Lovecraft's "The Horror at Martin's Beach". I am an avid reader of H.P. Lovecraft's work and enjoyed this version very much. ✂_._._

Where the word Toadeater or Toady comes from

In the 1600's, people believed toads were poisonous if eaten. Quack healers would take advantage of this misinformation by hiring an accomplice who would pretend to eat a toad so they could then "save" the accomplice's life and sell their instant remedy to the bystanders. These assistants came to be called "Toadeater" or "toady" which is currently defined as "a person who behaves obsequiously to someone important." ✂_._._
